Web7 mrt. 2024 · Even though you have a valid I797 till a future date, the CBP officer would give end date based on your passport expiry/ visa expiry which ever is earlier during your arrival at POE. Ideally you should have gone to the CBP field office to get it corrected before your i94 expired or applied for I797 extension.
